The setting of our book is on a reserve. The reserve is on otter lake in Ontario. It's based on recent times. Otter lake has a small population, young and old people live their. On the reserve everyone knows each other and everyone talks to each other. Otter lake is a lively place and fun but also sometimes boring because everyone knows each other. People are rarely on edge most people are easy going. The community looks to one person to keep the reserve going strong and healthy. It takes about 2 hours to each side of the reserve and there's one restaurant on the reserve. There's obviously a lake in otter lake and that lake is very large. On the other side is where an island lays.
Hello! I'm going to talk about ringette today. Ringette is played on ice with most of the same equipment as hockey player, but instead of having hockey pants we wear girdles and long pants. Our stick has no blade on the end, we have a white tip. We use a blue ring and we pass it to our team over the two blue lines. I love ringette because it's a fast pace game and you have to be a team player because you always have to pass. As a player you cannot carry the ring over the two blue lines (that's just a rule) and you cannot at all go into the goalie's crease. Ringette is my passion and I'm always doing something that's involved with it, no matter if it's training or helping out with teams and such. Ringette is mainly for girls because boys have hockey so most of them want to play that and not ringette. All in all I think ringette is an awesome sport to play! I hope someone who reads this goes and checks it out. It's never too late to join!
